Hazard!
Beware of becoming religious. You are now a follower of Christ. All the other religions of the world are “TRY” religions based on earning their way by their efforts and works to gain God's favor and somehow make it to heaven. As a new follower of Christ, please realize that you are following a living, resurrected leader who is still alive and available because of his great love for you. That's what unconditional love is all about. As you learn to accept his love and forgiveness each day these mulligans will change your heart and free you up to become the person that you were designed to be.
The key for living in this new relationship is to talk and then walk. In the Mulligan book it talks about that Jesus is our caddy and that God is the architect. Because of this, it is important to learn about that relationship and begin to associate with others who have made this same decision.
The Bible
The best way to understand more about this new life is to take the time to read the Bible starting with a simple letter from a disciple named John. If you don't have a Bible we would love to send you this gospel for you to read. Through it you will gain a clear picture of who Jesus is and how he desires to walk with you every day. The Bible says that Jesus is the same today as he was 2000 years ago. We have direct access to his transforming friendship every step of our lives. We will never be alone again.
Fellowship
We would also encourage you to develop some new relationships with friends who are followers of Christ. There is a number of golf groups around the country that meet on a regular basis that you may wish to start out with. Or you may find a good local church to attend. On our web site we have listed a number of these ministries that you may find helpful.
